Snap-Tite Hose Entry Level Finishing Operator in Erie, Pennsylvania
Summary/objective:
The Finishing Operator is responsible for efficiently and accurately operating finishing equipment for hoses, ensuring high-quality standards and timely production in a safe and organized work environment.
Essential functions:
- Understand the flow of work between the coaters, insert table, steam table, coupling assembly and test table.
- Prepare and process hoses between each workstation in the Finishing Department.
- Properly identify the material and layers of different hose throughout the processes.
- Apply stenciling by following customer and company specifications.
- Identify any defects, imperfections or repairs that need further attention.
Additional responsibilities:
- Keep all areas, machines and floors clear of water or debris.
- Know how to safely handle and lift materials, jackets and final products between each station of the Finishing department.
- Demonstrate proper safety procedures throughout each station.
- Able to effectively communicate with supervisors and team.
Required Skills and Abilities:
- Basic knowledge of measurements.
- Ability to follow work instructions for the different stages within production.
- Work well in a team environment.
- Knowledge of safety standards.
Work environment
- Employees will be exposed to moving machinery, loud noise, vibration and heat.
- Employees may be exposed to dust and residual material.
Physical demands
- Up to 50lbs of force exerted occasionally.
- Lift up to 20lbs frequently.
- Lift up to 10lbs constantly.
Required education and experience
- Possess or is actively pursuing a high school diploma or a GED.
Preferred education and experience
- Six months to a year in a manufacturing environment.
