UPMC Behavioral Health Therapist II (Safe Harbor Behavioral Health) in Erie, Pennsylvania

UPMC Western Behavioral Health at Safe Harbor is seeking a passionate Behavioral Health Therapist II to join our vibrant outpatient team!

In this impactful role, you will have the opportunity to provide both individual and group therapy as well as conduct occasional intakes.

To qualify, you must hold an active LPC or LCSW license and have at least two years of related experience in a behavioral health setting. Your schedule will be daylight hours, Monday through Friday. Parking is provided at no cost and dress code expectation is business casual.

Responsibilities:

Clinical Assessments & Treatment:

  • Conduct patient assessments and make clinical decisions under supervision.

  • Assess and incorporate changing patient needs into treatment plans.

  • Provide individual and group therapy, engage families, educate patients on recovery.

  • Create comprehensive treatment plans addressing individualized patient needs.

Collaboration and Communication :

  • Review cases and patient condition changes with supervisor and clinical team.

  • Discuss additional services needs with clinical team and make referrals as needed.

  • Participates in treatment team meetings to review and update patient plans.

Quality Assurance & Documentation:

  • Document all patient interactions and case management activities.

  • Maintain daily clinical productivity records.

  • Complete clinical documentation and provide required information for service authorization.

  • Master's degree in psychology, Social Work, Counseling, Education in school counseling, or related field required.

  • Two years of clinical experience diagnosing and treating behavioral and psychiatric conditions required.

  • Knowledge of psychiatric evaluation and assessment process, as well as application of current version of the DSM required.

Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:

Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or Licensed Marriage Family Therapist (LMFT) is required.

  • Comprehensive Crisis Management (CCMC) within 60 days of hire or transfer

  • Clinical Social Worker (CSW) OR Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist OR Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)

  • Comprehensive Crisis Management (CCMC)

  • Act 31 Child Abuse Reporting with renewal

  • Act 33 with renewal

  • Act 34 with renewal

  • Act 73 FBI Clearance with renewal
