The Actors Fund Home Junior IT Systems Administrator in Englewood, New Jersey

Actors Fund Home, an assisted living, skilled nursing, accredited dementia care and sub-acute rehabilitation center located in Englewood, NJ seeks a Junior IT System Administrator who will provide first and second-level technical support to staff employees. This role involves assisting with the maintenance and administration of the organization's IT infrastructure, including hardware, software, and network systems. The Junior IT System Administrator will collaborate closely with senior IT team members to ensure the smooth operation of all technology services and will be expected to continually enhance their technical skills and knowledge.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide ongoing system and network support, performing hardware upgrades and maintenance.

  • Support management in updating the organization’s antivirus and software systems.

  • Monitor and troubleshoot Microsoft Entra systems to meet organizational requirements.

  • Update the ticket tracking system and provide users with updates on the current status of support issues.

  • Help manage and maintain Office 365 services, including Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, and OneDrive.

  • Assist in maintaining the organization’s data retention systems.

  • Support the administration of the Quest Backup and Recovery Solution to ensure data integrity and assist in developing disaster recovery plans.

  • Collaborate with the IT team to develop and implement IT policies, procedures, and best practices.

  • Perform regular system updates, patches, and upgrades to maintain system health and security.

  • Oversee administration and maintenance of Cisco Call Manager to ensure a reliable telephone system.

  • Assist in performing security fixes, critical updates, and firmware updates to company in-house and third-party applications (Windows, Mac, etc.).

  • Determine resource requirements and update the IT Manager as needed.

  • Evaluate end-user needs and make recommendations based on collaborations.

  • Conduct independent research on potential solutions to user issues.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of work and experience.

  • Minimum of three years of IT support experience.

  • Microsoft Certification (MCSE, MCSA, etc.) preferred.

  • Knowledge of Office 365, Microsoft Office Such as Office 365, Outlook, Word, and Excel.

  • Technical support experience with Windows Server 2016/2019, Windows 10 and 11, MSOffice 2019 and Office 365.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Experience with Medical Reporting Systems (e.g., PCC, American Health Tech LTC, My Unity Netsmart) is a plus.

  • Familiarity with Meraki Systems, iOS and Android mobile platforms is a plus.

  • Flexibility to work early or late hours including weekends to troubleshoot unplanned system issues or crisis management.

  • Ability to analyze and solve problems quickly utilizing strong troubleshooting skills with attention to detail.

  • Experience working with multiple teams and the ability to adapt to continuous change.

  • Increase personal knowledge and familiarity with supported products to provide the highest level of support possible.

  • Self-starter with minimal supervision and flexibility to work on various tasks as assigned by the supervisor.

  • Proven organizational and multitasking skills.

  • Ability to lift hardware and components (30-50 lbs.) may be needed.

  • Team player with respect for others and the ability to communicate and keep supervisors and staff updated.

  • Experience with remote support tools (Dameware, Ninja One, or LogMeIn), web filtering, and ticketing software preferred.

  • Knowledge of PC/Laptop/Mac hardware, including the ability to replace/add hardware components.

  • Knowledge of online conferencing tools such as Citrix GoToMeeting, Citrix GoToWebinar, Cisco WebEx, Zoom, and MS Teams.

  • Basic networking knowledge including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPN.

  • Excellent communication skills, including telephone support and presentation skills.

    This is a full-time hourly position based in the Actors Fund Home in Englewood, NJ.
