The Project Superintendent is responsible for the day-to-day coordination and direction of their assigned project as well as subcontractor management. As a member of the Operations & Safety Team, Project Superintendents are expected to foster a safe working environment and adhere to all safety expectations. The Superintendent manages on-site craft personnel, safety activities, manpower, and project quality while serving as the daily WCG construction-site representative for the project owner. Responsibility for the escalation and communication of all concerns, instructions and/or project changes rests with the Superintendent.

Responsibilities

Provides daily oversight and management to ensure that all work activities are completed per the project schedule and at a level of quality that will exceed the Owner's expectations. This includes providing guidance and coordination for all project tradesman, craft areas, and subcontractors working on WCG projects. This is accomplished by coordinating the means and methods, manpower, equipment, and material resources required to accomplish project and organizational goals.

Interpret and understand all general contracts, subcontracts, scopes of work, drawings and specifications for a project while ensuring the highest level of production for all trades and identifying the most efficient flow of work to maintain project schedules.

Monitor and enforce all safety controls, processes and procedures in accordance with WCG's Health & Safety Manual.

Reports daily to the General Superintendent concerns, achievements, and suggestions. Also, responsible for documenting and communicating field performance issues, injuries and accidents.

Leads, develops, mentors and trains trades people, assistant superintendents and assistant foremen while also participating in related field performance reviews.

Coordinates, provides, maintains, and submits Job Safety Analyses (JSAs), Toolbox Talks and Daily Reports.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Construction Management and at least 8 years of commercial construction experience OR more than 12 years of progressive experience in a commercial/industrial construction management role.

Must have recent experience as the Lead Superintendent running commercial construction projects over $30M

Valid Driver's License and availability to travel to project sites along the front range of Colorado.

Must be able to read drawings, specifications, contracts, and subcontracts.

Understand procedural documents such as ASIs, RFIs, and Submittal processes.

Knowledge of commercial construction projects including surveying, excavation and site grading, masonry installation, drywall installation, concrete, framing, interior inishes and layout verifications.

Must have a strong knowledge of building systems.

Superb problem-solving skills.

Strong mathematical reasoning and quantitative skills.

Ability to build and maintain a working schedule.

Proficient with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).

Ability to work independently as well as with a team.

Excellent communication skills (i.e. verbal and written).
