UDC [Utility Data Contractors] Senior Consultant IV in Englewood, Colorado
Work Location: Englewood, CO and various unanticipated locations throughout the U.S. May work from home up to 100% of the time from anywhere in the U.S.
Provide overall operational and technical leadership for various electric and gas consulting programs. Represent UDC to prospects and existing customers and work with utility personnel at all levels of the organization. Give presentations and conduct workshops to identify, define, and capture business and technical requirements and best practices. Manage deliverables for the consulting projects, including use-case development, requirements gathering, and large-scale implementation strategy and road maps and reports. Coordinate and monitor consulting projects from initiation through delivery. Serve as a liaison between UDC and the client to ensure all targets and requirements are met. Decompose high-level business requirements and user requirements into functional requirements, specified in an appropriate level of detail suitable for use by those who base their work on the requirements. Identify operational system interfaces, constraints, and other non-functional requirements. Work individually or within a team on technology consulting projects to meet specific customer requirements. Serve as a mentor to senior and entry-level UDC developers and engineers. Coach and manage UDC consultant-level resources and actively participate in the performance expectation process. Provide business development support to the UDC sales team and account managers, including preparation and estimation of proposals for consulting and implementation projects. Responsible for developing business relationships and supporting sales generation with high-level contacts often through face-to-face and client site visits. Responsible for maintaining ongoing business relationships with current clients to facilitate future sales. Actively participate in thought leadership activities such as writing blogs, speaking at and attending conferences, and engaging in public speaking opportunities.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Primary Education and Experience Requirements: Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, IT, GIS, or a closely related field; and 3 years' experience as a Power Systems Engineer, GIS Analyst, or other related power systems engineering or GIS position.
Alternate Education and Experience Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, IT, GIS, or a closely related field; and 5 years' progressive, post-baccalaureate experience as a as a Power Systems Engineer, GIS Analyst, or other related power systems engineering or GIS position (in lieu of MS + 3 years).
Other Special Skills or Requirements: Position also requires 2 years of experience with utility business processes; regulatory compliance for electric utilities; and utility operational technologies including: Asset and Work Management Systems, Outage Management Systems, Advanced Distribution Management Systems, Advanced Metering Infrastructure & Mobile products. 2 years of experience using ESRI GIS, Milsoft GIS, Small World Electric GIS, CYME Power System Analysis Software, and ETAP Power System Analys
Domestic travel 10-20% of the time.

Offered salary range $132,000.00 to $145,000.00 per year.
