Responsibilities

The Region Director, Facility Management provides oversight and leadership to Region, Market, and hospital Facility Services Departments primarily located in the South Region to achieve the financial, strategic, and operational goals of CommonSpirit Health. This position serves as the connection between the assigned site teams and the overall CommonSpirit Health Facilities Management team. The position is responsible for assisting hospital Facility Directors meet standards, achieving technical service delivery excellence, meeting financial objectives, attaining high customer satisfaction, and meeting CommonSpirit Health’s Facilities Management mission. The Region Director, Facility Management partners with Region and Market leadership and hospital administration to provide technical assistance and monthly operations reporting to improve long term facility sustainability.

The Region Director, Facility Management, carries out his/her duties by adhering to the highest standards of ethical and moral conduct, acts in the best interest of CommonSpirit Health and fully supports CommonSpirit Health’s Mission, Philosophy and core values.

  • Partner with other Regions in training, and ongoing support of a comprehensive Computer Maintenance Management Software System (CMMS) supporting Preventative Maintenance, Compliance, Budgeting, and related capital planning.

  • Supports system level infrastructure project planning and prioritization to ensure equipment with the highest risk of failure has applicable funding.

  • Assist in the oversight, monitoring, and compiling of facility condition assessments.

  • Advise on resource models to maximize cost savings by balancing the use of internal and external resources to meet desired goals

  • Co-lead the assessment of, and support to local facility leadership implementing and documenting an ongoing training and education program using approved practices and procedures related to proper facility maintenance techniques.

  • Lead the development of system initiatives supporting the best thinking in the industry towards ensuring that CommonSpirit Health has highly performing facility services teams.

  • Serve as a liaison between the hospital, Market, Region, and Corporate teams to improve working relationships between service delivery teams, including suppliers and third party contractors on facility related issues.

  • Oversee and work with leadership teams to determine the degree of compliance with applicable standards including The Joint Commission - Environment of Care, CMS, Title 22 California Administrative Code, OSHPD, NFPA, OSHA, Safety Management, Security Management, Bio-Hazardous Waste and Hazardous Waste.

Qualifications

  • Significant experience (10+ years) in healthcare facilities management at a system or regional level across multiple geographic locations.

  • Demonstrated success with leading diverse teams to develop and monitor FacilitiesManagement services to meet organizational goals and objectives.

  • Advanced skill and thorough understanding of facility operations includingproperty/project management, construction, maintenance, and plant operations in ahealthcare setting.

  • Experience and knowledge of construction project phasing and disruption in an acutehealthcare environment including OSHPD requirements.

  • Thorough understanding of The Joint Commission - Environment of Care, CMS, Title 22 California Administrative Code, NFPA, OHSA, Safety Management, SecurityManagement, Bio-Hazardous Waste and Hazardous Materials Management and Waste.

  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with a variety of internal and external constituencies and all organizational levels, using excellent written, verbal, andpresentation skills.

  • Working knowledge of the hospital mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems andassociated construction drawings with an ability to recognize energy conservation measures that are specifically applicable for healthcare.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, or Business required (orequivalent experience).

Pay Range

$65.63 - $95.17 /hour
