Payroll Administrator
The Payroll Administrator will be part of our dynamic payroll team and ensure accurate processing and recording of the company’s payroll for over 2500 employees, including coordinating branch payroll activities at 46 branch office locations. This is not a remote position.
The salary range for this position is $27- $30 per hour, depending on experience.
Job Responsibilities
Weekly Payroll Processing (Multi state, approximately 2,500 employees); will alternate processing weeks with Payroll Specialist
Off Cycle payroll processing -2 days/week, alternating with Payroll Specialist
Employee records maintenance
Assist team with prevailing wage calculations
Record benefit and standard deductions for all employees, including garnishments and union benefits
Communicate with branches and external clients and provide timely responses to questions and inquiries
Prepare various weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports, including ad-hoc reports
Review employee taxes.
Comply with company audit procedures and internal controls
Maintain and monitor payroll email box
Other duties as assigned by supervisor
Job Qualifications
Minimum of five years of Payroll experience
Team player that operates well in a small dynamic team environment
Ability to grasp recent technology and software quickly
Kno wledge of payroll best practices and federal and state regulations
Strong customer support skills as we treat our branches as our customers
Ability to work in multiple systems
Detail-oriented and able to handle a high volume of work in a fast-paced environment
Experience in a union construction environment a plus
Strong organizational and time management skills
Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion
Must be able to pass a post-offer drug test, reference, and background check
