Our client, a leader in their industry, has an amazing opportunity for a Jr. Network Engineer.

In this role, the Jr. Network Engineer:

• Plans and implements enterprise networks and related hardware and software in a consumer router test lab.

• Designs and documents network architecture.

• Performs assessments on existing technologies to determine performance and capacity gaps.

• Provides recommendations to optimize network infrastructure. Configuration of wireless devices and test systems.

• Complete Cisco switch installation & configuration.

• Able to complete an assortment lab task to help build a world-class wireless lab.

Due to client requirement, applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis. For our w2 consultants, we offer a great benefits package that includes Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits, 401k with company matching, and life insurance.

Rate: $35 - $40 / hr. w2

Responsibilities:

· Lab infrastructure and maintenance

· Data Center wiring experience with coax, ethernet, and fiber

· Equipment rack & stack, rack installation, and power configuration

· Cable termination - patch panel wiring

· Troubleshooting a multitude of different connection issues with RF meter/Multimeter

· Manage and execute JIRA ticket queue

· Router disassembly & assembly with occasional soldering of cables/headers to circuit boards

· Team Collaboration & Leadership

· Collaborate with multiple teams and members to complete projects

· Provide guidance to junior engineers and team members.

· Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends

Experience Requirements:

· Associate's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or comparable experience in field

· 2-5 years experience

· Knowledge of wireless networking protocols and security configurations.

· Excellent problem-solving skills

· Certifications/Skills (Preferred)

· Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or equivalent

· IPv4, IPv6, TCP/IP, subnetting, VLAN, Unix/Linux/Windows command line

Skills, experience, and other compensable factors will be considered when determining pay rate. The pay range provided in this posting reflects a W2 hourly rate; other employment options may be available that may result in pay outside of the provided range.
