Meadow Gold Dairy has an immediate job opening for a dependable CDL A Yard Truck Driver to safely and efficiently operate shuttles to move trailers from building to building, staging area and from various loading dock doors. Our yard drivers build relationships with team members using their positive, friendly attitude and become familiar with their operations to meet needs and expectations.

OUR YARD TRUCK DRIVERS FOR THIS POSITION CAN MAKE UP TO:

• $30.00 per hour

SCHEDULE: Wednesday - Saturday 4:00PM - 2:00AM

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform trailer movement according to prioritization to optimize plant or warehouse efficiencies and production needs

• Hook, unhook and move trucks to and from the service department and around dock area

• Spot or position loaded and unloaded trailers at assigned dock space for unloading or loading

• Connect loaded semitrailers to tractors for the drivers

• Maintain accurate trailer and inventory movement log

• Follow steps to ensure proper operation and perform periodic preventive maintenance including pre and post trip inspections of equipment in the area

• Perform duties required to ensure that assigned area is sanitary and clean

• Wash exterior of trucks and trailers if appropriate for yard location

• Complete sales route deliveries and/or over-the-road routes, as needed

• Adhere to all DFA Quality, Safety, DOT, and GMP policies and procedures and report any nonconformity and accidents and injuries

• Attend all driver workshops and training sessions

Requirements

• 1 year related experience preferred

• Valid Class A Commercial Driver License (CDL) with a clean driving record

• 21+ years of age

• Must be able to pass all pre-employment screens (including drug, background, and criminal checks)

• Ability to read, write and communicate in English

• Ability to push, pull, & lift to 55 lbs.

• Flexibility – overtime as required, weekends and holidays
