Robert Half Attorney/Lawyer in Englewood Cliffs, New Jersey

Description

Our client, a boutique commercial litigation law firm in Northern New Jersey, is seeking a commercial litigation attorney to join their team.

Candidate will be able to get hands on experience working on various types of commercial litigation matters (business litigation, environmental law, regulatory work, some IP related matters, contract review and agreements, etc.

  • Drafting complaints and answers

  • Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, briefs, interrogatories, memos, demands, and other legal documents.

  • Develop and implement litigation strategies to achieve client goals.

  • Engage in discovery processes, interrogatories, and document production.

  • Participate in preparing for depositions, and taking/defending depositions if they have that experience.

  • Participate in settlement negotiations and alternative dispute resolution methods.

  • Open to: 3+ years of experience -OR- a more experienced candidate as well.

  • Looking for attorneys with a background in commercial litigation (no insurance defense or collection).

Qualifications:

Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Admitted to practice law in NJ; additional state admissions are a plus.

3-5 years of experience in commercial litigation.

Strong analytical, research, and writing skills.

Excellent oral and written communication abilities.

Demonstrated ability to handle complex legal matters and provide strategic legal advice.

Requirements

• Must possess a JD degree from an accredited law school.

• Must have a valid license to practice law in NJ.

• At least three years of experience as an attorney/lawyer, preferably in commercial and complex commercial litigation.

• Demonstrable expertise in case management and legal software tools.

• Proficient in using LexisNexis for legal research and documentation.

• Strong skills in drafting legal documents and briefing.

• Proven track record in managing complex commercial litigation cases.

• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

• Ability to work independently and in a team.

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

• Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

• High ethical standards and professional integrity.
