Your Role:

As a Lead Embedded SW Engineer, you'll be responsible for leading a team of Software Developers in developing real-time embedded electronics solutions for high-integrity and safety-critical applications. You'll work closely with Systems and Hardware Engineers to translate business needs and customer requirements into technical solutions, and you'll be part of an Integrated Product Team (IPT) environment supporting a diverse cross-functional team.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of Software Developers in developing real-time embedded electronics solutions

  • Work with Systems and Hardware Engineers to translate business needs and customer requirements into technical solutions

  • Perform SW/HW integration testing, verification, and debug

  • Reverse engineer existing code bases to address problem reports and implement enhancements

  • Present to a wide variety of stakeholders, including customers, managers, and business area leaders

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

  • Proven track record of successfully leading Software development teams

  • Full software lifecycle leadership experience from requirements development through verification

  • Experience with one or more embedded software programming languages, such as C

  • Experience in Cost and Schedule tracking (EVM)

  • Technical writing skills: capable of creating required engineering documentation

  • U.S. citizenship

  • Ability to Obtain a Secret Clearance

  • BS with 8 Years of Experience, MS with 6 Years' Experience, or PhD with 5 Years of Experience in avionics or electronic controls embedded development

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

  • Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or other related technical field

  • Experience in Safety Critical or Mission Critical Industries, such as Aerospace, Military, Medical, Automotive, Industrial/Energy/Nuclear

  • Experience with ARM/PowerPC processors and associated System on Chip features

  • Experience developing device drivers/board support packages

  • Experience with developing software to DO-178 standards

  • Familiar with data transfer protocols (ARINC 429, RS-232, MIL-STD-1553)

  • Experience with MATLAB Simulink

  • Experience with Auto Generated code

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $102200 - $173700

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
