BeiGene Senior Manager/Manager, HEOR in Emeryville, California

General Description:

The Senior Manager, HEOR or Manager, HEOR position will lead and manage health economics and outcomes research (HEOR) and real-world evidence (RWE) projects, ensuring quality and timely delivery to support BeiGene’s hematology oncology products. This role will be responsible for generating and disseminating scientific evidence to support US Medical Affairs and Market Access strategies, informing providers, payers, policy-makers, or patients on the value propositions of our products. The Senior Manager will work closely with cross-functional teams and provide HEOR and RWE inputs and leadership to support broad patient access for BeiGene products in the US.

Essential Functions of the job:

Design and conduct methodologically sound HEOR and RWE studies to ensure timely understanding of burden of disease, unmet need, and the economic, humanistic, and clinical value proposition of BeiGene’s hematology oncology products.

Serve as a project lead on HEOR and RWE studies. Author and review protocols, analytic plans, reports, and other study documents with independent, critical thinking to ensure quality and completeness of output. Oversee timeline for deliverables associated with analyses, reporting, and publications.

Develop US adaptations of global HEOR tools and value messages, such as cost-effectiveness and budget impact models and dossiers, to support engagements with US stakeholders.

Keep abreast of the therapeutic area, HEOR, and health policy trends in the US, collaborating with the cross-functional team to address strategic objectives in anticipation of these trends.

Collaborate and communicate with internal cross-functional partners (Market Access, Commercial, Epidemiology, Clinical Development) and external KOLs.

Demonstrate strong strategic relationship-building skills, especially around cross-functional, academic, and vendor RWE collaborations.

Represent BeiGene at relevant scientific, medical, regulatory, payer, patient, policy, and other meetings, when appropriate.

Represent BeiGene externally through conference presentations/communications.

Use best efforts to complete work with available budget.

Education Required:

Minimum of MA/MS/MBA is required

Required Experience:

For the Senior Manager level, we require a MA/MS/MBA with 5 plus years of overall industry experience or a PhD/PharmD with 3 plus years of overall industry experience.

For the Manager level, we require a MA/MS/MBA with 4 plus years of overall industry experience or a PhD/PharmD with 2 plus years of overall industry experience.

For both levels we require:

Rigorous health economics, epidemiology, biostatistics, or related research methodology training with experiences designing, planning, and conducting HEOR and RWE studies. Experiences specifically with systematic literature reviews, health economic models, claims analyses, electronic medical records (EMR) or other database analyses, and/or chart reviews.

Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment and effectively communicate relevant HEOR strategies, evidence, and study results.

Highly organized and self-motivated with ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple projects, determine, and meet project objectives, timelines, and budget.

Proven ability to drive results at a high level of quality as a strategic and creative thinker/leader.

Ensure function maintains full compliance with internal and external guidance and regulations, including applicable policies and codes.

Excellent oral and written communication skills and presentation skills.

Travel:

Work related travel approximately 25%

Please note the salary range listed below is for the Senior Manager level. For Manager level candidates, the range will be lower.
