BeiGene Senior Director, US DTC Marketing in Emeryville, California

General Description:

The Senior Director, US DTC Marketing is responsible for leading the development and implementation of the patient strategy and execution for Brukinsa, BeiGene’s market-leading BTK inhibitor. This role requires deep experience in developing innovative approaches to patient engagement across channels, including web, video/TV, and social media. This position reports to the Vice President of US Hematology Marketing.

Essential Functions of the job:

  • Lead the development of the patient strategy and marketing plan in alignment with the overall brand strategy

  • Create innovative strategies and tactics across channels (web, video/TV, and social media) that will enhance brand performance

  • Generate actionable insights by leading ad boards and market research with patients with B-cell malignancies to inform messaging, tactics, and channel selection

  • Partner with Patient Advocacy to engage patient organizations through strategic initiatives

  • Develop measurement plans to assess effectiveness using advanced analytics in collaboration with the Global Operations Business Analytics and Omnichannel teams

  • Select and manage multiple agencies with significant promotional spend (DTC agencies, digital agencies, media buying)

  • Manage budget allocation in line with brand priorities and continually assess tactic and channel performance to deliver highest impact

  • Collaborate with Regulatory, Legal/Privacy and Pharmacovigilance teams to ensure that patient initiatives comply with internal and local laws and adhere to monitoring and reporting requirements

  • Member of the cross-functional working team that coordinates branded and unbranded nonpersonal promotion across the organization

  • Coach and develop team members to achieve both business and individual objectives

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 12 years of pharmaceutical industry marketing or related experience

  • Must have at least 8 years' experience as a marketing leader in oncology; prior experience with heme malignancies preferred

  • Experience developing and executing consumer strategies and tactics, with extensive experience across digital media channels

  • Experience in highly competitive markets

  • Strong business acumen and demonstrated analytical skills

  • Team player who can incorporate input from others and can generate consensus through inclusion

  • Highly skilled in influencing cross-functional teams, including interfacing with key internal and external stakeholders and with scientific and commercial teams

  • Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills

  • Proven ability to lead, grow and develop others

Education Required:

At least 12+ years of industry experience, or advanced degree (e.g. MBA) with 8-10 years of biotech/pharma oncology experience
