International Project Manager for Autonomous Solutions in Elmendorf, Texas

Position Overview

We currently are seeking a Project Manager for Autonomous Solutions that will be part of Autonomous Deployment and Operations Team based in our San Antonio facility.

The role will be part of a pilot operation which focuses on managing autonomous solutions in customer operations. Once a contract with a customer is signed the deployment team makes sure the autonomous vehicles are being put into operation in an efficient way.

We are looking for someone who is hands on, curious and a doer with a pragmatic and solution-minded attitude.

To succeed you need to be service-minded and responsive to customer needs, striving to understand how to constantly increase customer value in this transformative transport sector.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, lead and coordinate all local activities in the US for the customer to start operating autonomous vehicles

  • Work cross functionally within International to develop customer project plans

  • Communicate with the customer in the early stages to understand the transport mission and the customer specific requirements and conditions.

  • Create project plans with customers and carry out all activities to reach deadlines, focusing on customer value.

  • Monitor the transport operations reporting and acting upon any deviations after implementation

  • Partner with the deployment team, the business development and sales team as well as with the customer to discover their needs, while collaborating cross functionally with R&D.

  • Managing multiple cross functional projects

Minimum Requirements

  • Master’s degree

  • At least 6 years of technical project/program management experience

  • At least 1 year of lead experience

    OR

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • At least 8 years of technical project/program management experience

  • At least 1 year of lead experience

OR

  • At least 10 years of technical project/program management experience

  • At least 1 year of lead experience

Additional Requirements

  • Qualified candidates, excluding current International Motors employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States. Desired Skills

  • Demonstrated proficiency working in customer facing implementation projects

  • Managing cross functional projects across large organizations

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to adapt and convey messages to relevant audiences internally as well as externally

  • Team player

  • Experience from leading and motivating stakeholders to deliver towards defined targets

  • Previous experience of the transport sector is beneficial
