Education/Prerequisite Requirements:
• Minimum High School diploma or equivalent
• NYS Milk Receivers License
Equipment/Training Knowledge:
• Dairy/Food manufacturing background preferred but not required
Schedule: 3rd SHIFT - 6:00PM - 6:30AM
Responsibilities:
Responsible for food safety and quality
Safely bring trucks into Receiving bay
Know how doors operate
Know how to operate ramps and how they work with doors
Insure truck are “chocked”
Understand and perform milk handling and sampling procedures
Read and understand State Sampling Procedure Handbook
Ability to pass State Receivers License within 90 days
Understand lab terminology and how they pertain to you
DMC, Positive Antibiotics, Cryo, Butter Fat, etc
Understand and perform CIPs on trucks/tankers
Know how to connect various types of wash systems
Understand flow and basic operation of CIP units
Know the steps of a cip and/or where to find them
Perform titrates and document results of all chemicals
Know function of wash tags and seals
Receiving Paperwork
Know where to find info on Truck tickets
Penmanship must be legible
Know how to check producer numbers and who to contact in case of missing number(s)
Know how to fill out Receiving Sheet, Truck Schedules
Know where paperwork is kept and how to make copies
Be familiar with computers/touch screen
Ability to use Microsoft Word, Excel and Wonderware
All other duties as assigned
