Job Title: Cleanroom Production Worker
Job Description
Our client designs and molds quality plastic molding and injection molding solutions. They specialize in 2-Shot and liquid silicone molding, utilizing the world's most advanced technologies and resources. They are expanding their team and looking for ambitious general production workers to join their team in Ellington, CT.
Responsibilities
Run injection molding machine, package product, label, and perform cycle counting
Visually inspect and assemble parts to quality specifications, identifying critical visual and dimensional defects to determine acceptability based on customer specifications
Utilize route sheets and work instructions to ensure parts meet both customer and internal requirements
Remove parts from injection molding machines during gate tended operations
Perform routine cleaning of machines and work areas
Account for and record production and scrap counts
Essential Skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, running multiple machines and packaging boxes
Must be open to traveling between the two locations (Somers and Ellington), primarily sticking to the hired location
Strong attendance and reliability, with a drive to learn
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing the English language
Ability to stand for 8-12 hours while performing physical tasks such as turning, twisting, reaching, pulling, pushing, clutching, placing, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
Ability to lift up to 20 cartons per day, with each carton weighing a maximum of 50 pounds
Efficiency in basic math
A few months of manufacturing experience is ideal but not mandatory
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $17.50 - $21.00
