Actalent Traveling Project Manager - Data Center in Ellendale, North Dakota

About the Role: Are you ready to take on a monumental challenge and be part of a groundbreaking project? We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Project Manager to lead the construction of a cutting-edge AI Hyperscale data center campus, a project valued at nearly a billion dollars. This is an extraordinary opportunity to work on a high-profile, complex construction project that will set new standards in the industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Leadership: Manage all aspects of the project, ensuring successful financial management, client satisfaction, and overall project success.

  • Team Mentorship: Mentor and coach project management staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.

  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Build and maintain strong relationships with owners, design partners, subcontractors, and suppliers.

  • Scope Management: Understand and manage scope changes, perform quantity take-offs, pricing, and track all project revisions.

  • Preconstruction and Business Development: Assist in pursuit efforts, preconstruction meetings, and business development activities.

  • Self-Performed Work: Oversee quantity take-offs, labor production estimates, and critical path method (CPM) scheduling.

  • Estimating and Bidding: Lead estimating efforts, subcontractor procurement, and bid analysis.

  • Scheduling: Assist with creating and updating CPM schedules, and co-lead Last Planner efforts.

  • Project Documentation: Manage RFIs, shop drawings, submittals, and BIM coordination.

  • Subcontract Management: Review and process subcontractor change requests and invoices.

  • Cost Control: Manage project changes, track labor costs, and prepare monthly pay applications.

  • Safety and Compliance: Perform safety audits, attend safety meetings, and ensure compliance with safety standards.

  • Post-Construction: Oversee punchlist process, manage test and balance, commissioning, and owner training.

Qualifications:

  • Required:

  • Four-year degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.

  • 5+ years of related experience, including self-perform capabilities.

  • Estimating and scheduling experience.

  • Strong collaboration and communication skills.

  • Thorough and detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize and multi-task.

  • Self-starter with strong computer skills, including Microsoft Suite.

  • Preferred:

  • Scheduling experience.

Office and Travel:

  • Office: Various job sites and/or regional office.

  • Travel: Travel may be required.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $130000.00 - $200000.00/yr.
