Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Mechanic III - HVAC to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC systems in our equipment and facilities. This role requires a high level of technical expertise and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Key Job Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, and repair HVAC systems in Komatsu equipment and facilities.

  • Complete rebuild of all components and systems within the Mine Air family.

  • Recover, Pressure test, Vacuum, and charge A/C systems.

  • Make parts lists and Scope of work.

  • Braise Connections on refrigerant systems.

  • Detailed washing and cleaning of components.

  • Replace electrical components and wiring.

  • Detailed calibrating and testing of components.

  • Diagnose and troubleshoot HVAC system issues and perform necessary repairs.

  • Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance on HVAC systems.

  • Ensure compliance with all safety and environmental regulations.

  • Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work.

  • Collaborate with other team members and departments to ensure efficient operations.

  • Stay updated on the latest HVAC technologies and industry best practices.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in HVAC preferred.

  • Minimum of 1 year experience in HVAC maintenance and repair.

  • Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, components, and controls.

  • Have or willing to obtain 609 and 608 EPA certifications.

  • Understanding of refrigerant systems and their components.

  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Proficient in Microsoft office (word, excel, publisher, one note, etc.)

Additional Information

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment and materials.

  • Ability to work in various environmental conditions, including confined spaces and heights.

  • Ability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods.
