Position Title: CNC Vertical Mill Setup Machinist

Location:Elkhart, IN

Shift:Monday to Friday, 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM

Job Description:

We are looking for an accomplished CNC Vertical Mill Setup Machinist to join our production team. The position requires expertise in setting up and operating vertical milling machines, including prototype and production runs.

Responsibilities:

• Setup and operate Haas vertical mills and associated equipment.
• Develop and write programs for vertical mills using Esprit CAM software.
• Conduct first-piece inspections and optimize processes for quality and efficiency.
• Work with medical and aerospace components, some involving indexers.
• Troubleshoot machining issues and resolve setup challenges.
• Perform basic preventive maintenance on machines.
• Adhere to GDandT principles and ensure parts meet blueprint specifications.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience as a CNC vertical mill setup machinist.
• Advanced knowledge of Mastercam, CAD, programming, and setups.
• Familiarity with medical and aerospace machining requirements.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with indexers and first-article inspections.

Compensation:

• $25.00 - $35.00 per hour (Depending on experience).
• Opportunity for overtime.
