Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Back up to Quality Manager to Ensure Compliance to the BRC Standard by implementing management procedures, and factory standards used in the manufacture of packaging and food packaging materials.
- Designated to be the Quality Managers back up for reviewing and disposition of the \"Control of Non Conforming Materials\"
- Thorough understanding of manufacturing quality system requirements that meet or exceed the BRC / IS09000 standards
- Maintain the Internal Audit schedule and trained Internal Auditors.
- Train Internal Auditor
- Assist with customer audits as well as Regulatory audits.
- Set up and maintain a Document Management System.
- Review and approve customer specifications.
- Investigate customer complaints and writing investigation reports based on 8D fundamentals.
- Must be able to conduct and be a member of the \"Continuous Improvement Team\".
- Demonstrate understanding of the Material Review Board.
- Create Re-Select Plans on Non-Conforming items, using AQL levels as an audit.
- Ability to train all personnel on quality systems.
- Coordinate the quality functions of new business or plant-to-plant business transfers.
- Assist the Quality Manager with the Change Control process.
- Manage the Training Program.
- Ability to create and revise Control Plans
- Demonstrates understanding of Acceptable Quality Levels
- Demonstrates understanding of Change Control Process
- Demonstrates understanding of Corrective Action Preventative Action
- Ability to Supervisor the quality team with a structured knowledge of team oriented problem solving skills and team development as a means to achieve continuous improvement goals. Be accountable for achieving the desired, timely results.
- Provide support, direction and advice in a coaching manner to Quality Technicians Level 1 and 2 through training and experiences to obtain highly effective, self-directed work teams and a productive environment.
- Demonstrate understanding of UN / DOT Regulations regarding Tight Heads
- Ensures that production is supported with measurements, analysis and training.
- Evaluates results from Reliability inspections and testing to monitor trends or issues, analyzes failed units and forwards results
- Communicates trends to production in order to mitigate potential out of control and out of spec conditions related to product quality.
- Demonstrates understanding of Statistical Process Control.
- Interact with production personnel to ensure quality checks, packaging, and documentation requirements are clearly understood.
- Interact with production personnel to provide knowledge, training, and to ensure the quality system is clearly understood.
- Work with plant personnel to assist in performing root cause analysis and resolution of daily quality issues.
- Write, train and follow procedures.
- Maintain the work area in an organized and professional manner
Education and/or Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED. Some college or equivalent experience is desirable.
- 6-8 years experience in a manufacturing environment.
Knowledge/Experience:
- Quality background in measurement techniques and analysis preferred.
- Knowledgeable in BRC Standards
- Use of problem solving and continuous improvement skills is necessary .
- Possesses well-developed communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a high paced and multi-task environment.
- Demonstrates organizational skills and is very detail oriented.
- Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision.
- Demonstrated capacit to work with Microsoft Office Products, Outlook, and other critical computer applications.
- Ensure a well developed and positive attitude towards working together as a team.
- Appropriate GMP and safety equipment is required to be worn in working areas.
- Responsible for ensuring the compliance of \" Food Product Safety\" & \"Product Quality\" of the molded product, to meet the expectation of our customers
