Position Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly motivated Packer to join our team at our Elk Grove Village location. The Packer will be responsible for operating and setting up automatic and semiautomatic machines, monitoring production processes, and ensuring the consistent quality of finished products. This role requires a strong understanding of manufacturing procedures, machinery, and equipment to maintain high production standards while adhering to all safety and regulatory guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up and operate automatic or semiautomatic machines and related equipment in a continuous production or processing environment.

  • Monitor and control key production parameters such as meters, gauges, valves, flow ratios, temperatures, and pressures to ensure adherence to production specifications.

  • Follow engineering drawings, work orders, Manufacturing Assembly Procedures (MAP), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and other instructions for efficient production.

  • Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain machinery and equipment according to established documentation, including SOPs, layout plans, and blueprints.

  • Perform calibration, testing, and troubleshooting of circuits, components, instruments, and mechanical assemblies.

  • Assemble mechanical units, fabricated parts, components, and/or electrical/electronic systems to make sub-assemblies, assemblies, or complete units using hand tools, power tools, and other relevant equipment.

  • Ensure all equipment and tools are in good working condition and perform regular maintenance as necessary.

  • Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet production goals and improve efficiency.

  • Document and report any issues or discrepancies in the production process.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training or certification is a plus.

  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or assembly environment is preferred.

  • Familiarity with operating machinery and equipment, including troubleshooting and repair.

  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and SOPs.

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions and production schedules.

  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects as required.

  • Basic knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and/or electronic systems is a plus.

  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Working Conditions:

  • Full-time position with the possibility of overtime as needed.

  • Will be required to work in a fast-paced environment with safety and quality as top priorities.

  • Must be able to work in a manufacturing facility, which may involve exposure to industrial equipment and machinery.

The below range reflects the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future. An associate’s position within the salary range will be based on several factors, including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs.

The compensation range for this role is $19.00 - $20.00 USD per hour. This job is also eligible for Bonus Pay.
