Position Summary:
The Sr. Project Manager is responsible for the management of multiple medium-sized projects and/or large-sized projects. This team member assembles project plans, directs and monitors project work, assists in identifying resource needs, and collaborates with leadership to escalate and resolve project issues. This team member is responsible for the tracking of key project milestones and adjusting project plans to meet the project objectives/targets. The Sr. Project Manager coordinates communication with other teams, leadership and customers/external partners regarding overall project plan, accomplishments, status, budget and risks.
Position Responsibilities - Other duties may be assigned:
· Lead the development of comprehensive project plans, including timelines, budgets, resources, and risk assessments.
· Collaborate with leadership and stakeholders to define project goals, scope, deliverables and KPIs.
· Maintain clear, comprehensive, accurate and effective communication with leadership, stakeholders, teams, and external parties (i.e. vendors and/or customers) throughout the project lifecycle.
· Organize and collaborate with cross-functional teams, ensuring all members are aligned and focused on achieving the project objectives.
· Partner closely with IT leadership, business stakeholders and technical teams to develop and implement high quality IT solutions using Agile Scrum, Kanban or other methodology.
· Oversee the execution of project plans, track progress, and adjust schedules as necessary to ensure timely delivery.
· Drive planning, organization and resolution of complex project issues, identifying and mitigating key risks across a suite of project and operational efforts.
· Identify potential risks and work with the team and leadership to develop mitigation strategies to minimize impact on project outcomes.
· Provide regular updates to leadership and stakeholders on project status, challenges, and solutions.
· Ensure that all project deliverables meet established quality standards and requirements.
· Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including plans, meeting notes, reports, lessons learned, etc.
· Act as the primary interface with third party contractors and/or customers.
Position Requirements:
· Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
· PMP certification preferred.
· 3-5 years of project management experience in Software Engineering, IT Systems or related field with proven ability to deliver results on large-scale projects is required.
· Solid working knowledge of effective Project Management methodologies and tools.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
· Ability to communicate technical information in a concise way to a non-technical audience.
· Ability to drive continuous improvement to project management practices and processes.
· Ability to effectively run and organize multiple projects with competing priorities and different timescales.
· Proven track record in managing contractors, vendors, and/or large customer accounts in a professional environment.
· Self-motivated, pro-active, and a self-starter with demonstrated creative and critical thinking capabilities.
· Experience with Agile Scrum methodology is a plus.
Salary: $107,000 - $187,000
Compensation Range (USD): MIN 107000.0 - MID 147100.0 - MAX 187000.0
