Job Title: Warehouse Worker

Job Description

Candidates will be working in one of the two distribution warehouses, operating sit-down forklifts, reach-trucks, cherry pickers, or clamp trucks - all primarily Crown equipment. Expect to be on the equipment nearly 100 percent of the day. You will have daily and weekly metrics for picking and staging outbound orders, or to put away product once received. Training on navigating inventory and using the scanning system will be provided. Occasionally, you may be required to help with labeling or other additional duties.

Responsibilities

• Operate sit-down forklifts, reach-trucks, cherry pickers, and clamp trucks.

• Pick and stage outbound orders.

• Put away product received in the warehouse.

• Navigate inventory and use the scanning system.

• Assist with labeling and other additional duties as needed.

Essential Skills

• 1+ years of forklift experience.

• Ability to stand on your feet all day.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience working in a fast-paced distribution environment.

• Experience working off a pick sheet.

• Experience working with a pick rate.

• Experience operating cherry pickers, reach trucks, clamp trucks, and other forklifts.

Work Environment

Our Client is a recognized leader in the packaging industry, with over 30 years of fast-paced growth within the packaging business. The warehouses are located near I-90, featuring well-lit, spacious environments. Shift hours vary by warehouse. Warehouse 1 operates from 6:00 am to 2:30 pm, 2:30 pm to 11:00 pm, and 9:30 pm to 6:00 am, Monday to Friday. Warehouse 3 operates from 6:00 am to 2:30 pm, 2:30 pm to 11:00 pm, Monday to Friday, and 9:30 pm to 6:00 am, Sunday to Thursday.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Elgin, Illinois.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $19.00/hr.
