Job Title: Technical Sales Representative

Job Description

We are looking for a Technical Sales Representative responsible for developing and maintaining the company's sales focus through professional sales techniques and quality customer service. The role involves maintaining quality relations with existing assigned accounts and focusing on developing new business. The candidate will adhere to GMP and SQF requirements through the company's quality management system.

Responsibilities

• Establish annual sales budget that surpasses the previous year's annual sales.

• Meet or surpass the annual sales budget.

• Build and maintain quality relations with existing assigned accounts and consistently increase the account base and volume of sales.

• Report to the supervisor and senior management on business status effectively, simply, and concisely in a timely manner.

• Contact customers via telephone, email, correspondence, or in person by traveling as necessary to meet and surpass profitable sales goals for the company.

• Reevaluate work on an ongoing basis to increase market share.

• Assess the quality of offerings and develop opinion reports on strategies to increase the company's market share.

• Create customized proposals to meet specific customer requirements efficiently.

• Stay abreast of market conditions regarding products, product updates, service offerings, and new technologies through available resources.

• Utilize company leads to expand the current customer base and follow up all leads promptly.

• Maintain updated, organized files on all accounts in the assigned territory.

• Submit call reports to the supervisor within 48 hours after visiting customers.

• Submit monthly sales reports to the supervisor and update action plan sheets by the first business day of the next month.

• Provide information and follow up on customers as requested.

• Maintain close contact with Technical Service on new applications and new developmental enzymes that could lead to close cooperation with customers on mutually beneficial and economically feasible products.

• Work jointly with Technical Service to promote new application areas that would support new businesses or expand existing markets.

• Develop partnerships with new customers to expand presence and expertise in the specialty enzyme area.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Food Science or Biochemistry

• Bilingual in English and Spanish

• Sales skills

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $33.00 - $41.02/hr.
