Machine Operator

Location: Elgin, Illinois

Pay: $20-25/hour (based on experience)

Description:

Setup and running of printing press or high speed technical machinery, with a focus on time saving practices to limit downtime and setup times. Ensure a quality product is being released to our customers.

• Setup and operate a high speed printing press machine

• Limit scrap waste, deliver said waste to proper dept. when scrap truck is full, and accurately tag for waste reporting.

• Practice good lock out/ tag out procedures.

• Mount die boards, assist in the setup of machine, and keep machine running.

• Read and understand production order copy for every production run, and will assist operator in ensuring quality.

• Understand machine mechanical functionality and conduct in depth cleaning of press when scheduled.

Skills:

-Operating

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• 2 years of operating experience

• Read a measuring tape and ruler; and use basic shop math

• Ability to work in a high-speed packaging environment, package, and label

• Lifting up to 60 lbs. throughout the day
