Job Title: Systems Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to support an aviation client in their ATM (Air Traffic Management) division. This engineer will support the civil use of GPS by integrating civil GPS signal monitoring into GPS operations and Positioning Signal Integrity and Continuity Assurance (PSICA) activities related to the use of GPS for civil/commercial aviation.

Responsibilities

• Support integration of civil GPS signal monitoring into GPS operations

• Generate technical reports, strategy documents, white pages, and presentations

• Provide oversight and approval of GPS

• Conduct 25% Program Management

• Engage in 25% Customer Interfacing

• Perform 50% Hands-on Engineering

• Review failure reviews to develop corrective and preventative actions

• Apply software, hardware, domestic and international standards to analysis, development, and integration of systems for navigation services

• Collaborate with clients on upcoming and evolving technologies in navigation systems

Essential Skills

• BS in Electrical Engineering or related field

• 10 years of experience

• Experience in monitoring and control of GPS (design and assurance in aviation)

• Experience with GPS navigation systems

• GPS systems modernizing experience

• Aviation safety and approval experience

• Eligibility for US Secret Clearance and Public Trust

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Algorithm development experience

• Program management experience

• Experience with DoD or military
