What you will do...

What You'll Do:

  • Drive the systems engineering and acquisition strategy for innovative space capability demonstrations and prototype development.

  • Evaluate state-of-the-art technologies from industry, academia, civil, military, domestic, and international sectors to fulfill evolving space mission requirements.

  • Influence the design, development, and integration of cutting-edge satellite and ground systems.

  • Recommend strategic system enhancements and shape architectural decisions impacting the future landscape of space operations.

  • Develop use cases, initial test plans, and comprehensive operational acceptance documentation to ensure successful project deployment.

  • Support review of End-Item-Data-Packages in support of acquisition closeout of requirements as well as identifying plans that would support the operational acceptance documentation

Skills you will need...

Your Background:

  • 10+ years of Aerospace engineering experience with DoD space and ground systems.

  • Proven expertise in satellite service buses and ground-based satellite command and control systems, encompassing both operational and R&D satellites.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical field (extensive relevant work experience accepted in lieu of a degree). MS Preferred.

  • Experience developing initial test plans for smaller projects getting operational acceptance desired.

  • Familiarity with Space System Command (Formerly Space and Missile Systems Center) process and procedures desired

  • Excellent and detail-oriented organizational, interpersonal, and communications skills desired

  • Active DoD Top Secret clearance (SCI eligible).
