Hilton Relief Overnight Manager on Duty/Night Auditor - Embassy Suites-LAX South in El Segundo, California

A Relief Night Auditor/Overnight Manager on Duty (MOD) is responsible for relieving the Head Night Auditor and Overnight MOD and perform the following duties to support the hotel’s continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability:

Nigh Auditor - Responsible for overseeing the nightly audit, posting and balancing of daily financial transactions.

Overnight MOD - Will have the full hotel authority in the absence of the General Manager, directly manages all night shift team members during shifts, performs protective and enforcement function in a courteous and retrained manner in coping with emergencies, undesired conduct, disturbances, and threats to life and property and maintains a safe and secure environment for guests, visitors, and team members.

What will I be doing?

As Relief Night Auditor, you would be responsible for relieving the Head Night Auditor during their off duty days and overseeing the auditing, posting and balancing of daily financial transactions to support the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

  • Audit, post and balance daily cashiers' work for outlets including, but not limited to, outlets in Rooms and Food and Beverage
  • Ensure credit card system reconciles to daily transaction lists
  • Schedule, assign daily work, inform and train team members
  • Monitor, observe and assist in evaluating team member performance

As the Overnight Manager, you would be responsible for relieving the Head Overnight Manager during their off duty days and will have the full hotel authority in the absence of the General Manager, make decisions affecting the overall guest satisfaction as well as the safety of the hotel, its team members and guests. Directly manages all night shift team members. Performs protective and enforcement functions in a courteous and restrained manner in coping with emergencies, undesired conduct, disturbance and threats to life and property and maintain a safe and secure environment for guests, visitors, and team members. Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

  • Audit, post and balance daily cashier's work
  • Ensure credit card system reconciles to daily transaction lists
  • Greets and registers guests, checks guests out of the hotel
  • Resolves guest challenges throughout their stay in our hotel
  • Addresses concerns and reviews the status of the daily operation with Department Heads and GM to ensure quality and continuity in operations.
  • Manages any emergencies that arise during the night hours.
  • Responds to guest inquiries and requests and resolves guest issues in a timely, friendly and efficient manner.

Pay Range: The hourly rate is $22.00-$29.70 per hour and is based on applicable and specialized experience and location.
