Overview Tecolote is seeking a candidate to oversee United States Space Force Space Systems Command, Military Communications and Positioning, Navigation, and Timing Program Executive Office Media Relations and Security and Policy Programs

Responsibilities

  • Oversee United States Space Force Space Systems Command, Military Communications and Positioning, Navigation, and Timing Program Executive Office Media Relations and Security and Policy Programs
  • Lead for Public Affairs media action items, request for information, and public release determination requests
  • Shape response to media queries and interviews, public affairs actions items, press releases, and articles
  • Clear response to queries, releases and articles, publicize team achievements and accomplishments
  • Answer responses to a variety of public affairs action items and numerous requests for information
  • Facilitate coordination on Program Executive Office (PEO) videos and numerous Senior Leadership presentations
  • Assist with review of information; ensure appropriate markings properly located on documents
  • Provide logistics support on projects like the Global Positioning System III-6 (Space Vehicle 06) mission Launch campaign
  • Execute Program Fact Sheets updates for PEO and Space Systems Command website
  • Deliver daily news articles to Senior Leadership, PEO and numerous requesters
  • Execute process on Security Policy requests for public release determination to meet Air Force regulations
  • Handle security and policy public release determinations requests
  • Prepare guidance for customers, team members, and industry partners on processes and program updates
  • Spearhead process on Communications and Messaging Guidance to support program mission requirements
  • Aid in the coordination of Communications and Messaging Guidance and Launch Communications Plan
  • Retain files in Microsoft Teams and Livelink; guidance, queries, releases, clips, public release determinations
  • Provide coverage to ensured flow of information to PEO Graphics Production Lead

Skills Required

  • Active Secret Security Clearance
  • U.S. Citizenship
  • Minimum 6 years of experience with most recent three years in support of space programs
  • Bachelor's degree preferred in Management or Business

Education

  • Bachelors degree required, preferably in math, engineering, business, or the sciences.
