RGP MS Project Technician in El Segundo, California
The MS Project Technician will play a crucial role in optimizing and maintaining our resource-loaded project plan, tracking over 250 resources and 3,000+ tasks as part of the NextGen Finance program. This role involves close collaboration with the Project Management Office, 15 workstream leads, the Systems Implementation Partner and the Finance Program Manager.
Track taskcompletion and remaining work for all tasks, deliverables, and milestones.
Collaboratewith the Program Manager, System Implementor, and PMO to analyze futureresource capacity and part-time resource availability, identifyingpotential scheduling conflicts.
Workclosely with the Program Manager and Systems Implementor to understandprogram priorities, decisions, risks, and issues, applying this knowledgeto resource optimization planning.
Utilizeknowledge of SDLC key activities (e. . , testing, conversions,integrations, reporting, change management, training, and support) tomanage project timelines effectively.
Handle a high degree of change in a fast-paced, complex, and demanding environment, ensuring all adjustments are well-coordinated and effectively communicated.
10+ years of experience managing progressively complex and challenging projects and/or programs.
Extensive experience with Microsoft Project, particularly in resource planning and loading.
Demonstrated expertise in managing projects using Microsoft Project within formal SDLC processes and methodologies, such as PMI’s Project Management Body of Knowledge.
Skilled in managing large, global system implementations with dispersed project resources.
Strong understanding of finance business functions and end-to-end processes.
Experience with Atlassian Jira and Confluence; experience with Jira Ceptah bridge is a plus.
Experience with Oracle Fusion Cloud for financials is a plus.
Excellent communication and leadership skills, with a talent for anticipating issues and creating effective solutions.
Variety of workplace arrangements including hybrid, remote, onsite.
Compensation commensurate with employee qualifications, experience, and other factors including geographic location, market, and operational factors.
Pay Range: $65/hr. -$85/hr. (DOE)
