Robert Half Procurement Manager in El Paso, Texas

Description

We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Procurement Manager (General Manager) based in El Paso, Texas. In this role, you will be expected to lead procurement operations, manage vendor relationships, oversee financial management, and ensure compliance with various regulations. You will also be tasked with coordinating logistics, managing IT infrastructure, and guiding strategic planning.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee procurement operations, managing invoicing and traffic coordination, and ensuring warehouse capacity.

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors, negotiate service fees, and source new vendors/products.

• Handle financial management duties, including conducting monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reviews, and maintaining banking relationships.

• Ensure adherence to safety, health, and government regulations, including U.S. Federal, State, City, and Mexican Customs requirements.

• Coordinate various logistics, including cold and dry storage, rail shipments, customs brokerage, and repair/maintenance services.

• Lead HR initiatives, ensuring legal compliance, fostering employee development, administering benefits, and managing staffing requirements across departments.

• Manage IT infrastructure, including network hardware, software systems, cybersecurity, and support services.

• Coordinate legal matters such as APA annual reports, SAT audits, anti-dumping cases, and employee visa renewals.

• Collaborate with senior management to develop and execute operational strategies aligned with company objectives.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Procurement Manager or in a similar role.

• Strong knowledge of budget processes and financial management.

• Proven experience in buying processes and vendor relations.

• Excellent customer service skills and a customer-focused approach.

• Bilingual -English /Spanish

• Proficiency in business strategy development and implementation.

• Experience in human resources administration.

• Solid understanding of logistics and distribution, with the ability to effectively coordinate logistics.

• Expertise in supply chain management.

• Demonstrated ability to manage vendor agreements and build strong vendor relationships.

• Strong communication and negotiation skills.

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, or Accounting or logistics, or a related field is preferred.
