Building Maintenance Technician in
El Paso, Texas
- Operation and knowledge of hand, power and shop tools used in the course of construction, woodworking, and building maintenance such as power drills, saws, drill presses, joiners, and paintings equipment.
- Complete work orders and document progress and status on work order, utilizing the maintenance work order system.
- Perform general maintenance and repair i..e. assess situation, assemble necessary tools and materials.
- Perform monthly routine walk through to identify kand report any issues with HVAC systems, water heaters, roofing, GFI outlets, dry vents, and emergency equipment. Complete Facilities Hazard Inspections.
- Routinely service HVAC systems to include changing filters, bands, and weatherization process.
- Perform routine plumbing repairs such as unclogging toilets, sinks or urinals, fixing water, leaks faucets, and water heater repairs/installation.
- Perform routine electrical repairs such as changing light bulbs, florescent lamps, repairing ballast, and light fixtures.
- Repair building systems identified in preventive building maintenance schedule.
- Perform general construction work to include wall fabrication, installation of windows, and doors systems.
- Preform maintenance of pool equipment to include assessing filter, motor, and water circulation functions.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, specifications, and manuals
Qualifications/Requirements
- Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Vocational training preferred.
- Must have 3-5 years of on the job training experience in the field of Building Maintenance/Construction
- Must be able to furnish own hand tools to preform assigned tasks.
- Must have a Valid Texas Driver's License.
