Detailing Group Leader

Nucor Buildings Group is looking for a Detailing Group Leader. This critical role will oversee the management of building orders within the engineering department, ensuring rigorous schedules are met with effective communication while also prioritizing team development.

Basic Job Functions:

Project Management: Be the project manager for building orders through the engineering department, ensuring adherence to schedules, scope definition, continual communication, and follow-up.

Team Leadership: Offer direction, growth, and feedback opportunities to the detailing group, in conjunction with the supervisor. Set expectations for progress, productivity, participation, and conduct (quality, quantity, work habits, etc.).

Maximize Effectiveness: Mentor, coach, and lead individuals to realize and leverage their full potential, enhancing overall department effectiveness.

Recruitment and Training: Assist in recruiting, interviewing, and training new teammates to build a strong, successful team.

Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED.

• Experience with Microsoft Office software.

• Demonstrated Leadership Experience, either formal or informal.

Preferred Qualifications:

Leadership Experience in a Professional Setting

Construction, Steel, or Related Industry Knowledge
