Actalent Facilities Maintenance Engineer in El Cajon, California

Job Title: Facilities Maintenance Engineer

Job Description

  • Manage a multi-disciplined team to plan and perform asset maintenance to deliver incremental improvements in Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).

  • In collaboration with Continuous Improvement Function partners, accountable for deploying the Global Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) Program.

  • Implement the short and long term Facilities & Maintenance people strategy including competence program, talent and skills acquisition, retention, and development.

  • Deliver Facilities & Maintenance savings in line with year-on-year cost targets.

  • Implement a layered process audit system to provide governance for the Facilities and Maintenance standards.

  • Awareness of city permits and other facilities regulations

  • Maintenance leadership

  • Effective communication with internal and external stakeholders

  • Collaboration with project directors and cross-functional teams

Additional Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering preferred, Master’s Degree preferred.

  • 10+ years of experience in the Manufacturing Operations/Facilities/Maintenance, including managing Critical Spare Parts Inventory – flexible with experience, can be a little lower, as long as exp pertains to the role and makes reasonable sense

  • Serviced production equipment including: CNC/CMM/Vertical Lathes/Ovens/Clean Lines/Plant Boilers

  • Must be iTar compliant - due to program security clearance requirements and/or SSA requirements.

  • Open to automotive or industrial machinery setting – furnace, ovens, CNC, large scale production equipment

  • Plan, preventative maintenance, working with stakeholders (internal/external), creating schedule (maintenance schedule), also be aware of deadlines, the move, working with current team with scheduling of maintenance – transferring to new facility

  • Aware on city permits – strongly preferred – waste management permits, electrical permits, installation of machinery permits, building permits

Job Type

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 8 Month(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in El Cajon, California.

Work Environment

Manufacturing shop floor collaboration and office environment collaborating with engineering and other business function teams.
