This position is responsible for managing all aspects of the drafting of the Development and Construction Department including understanding written and verbal instructions, drafting technical drawings and blueprints, implementing feedback from engineers, architects, visiting sites as necessary and keeping up-to-date with all facilities drawings. Also, duties include assisting with construction purchase orders, contracts and payment of development and construction invoices, scanning documents, maintaining department files, etc. Responsibilities

Interpreting project briefs and meeting with engineers, architects, construction and project managers to ensure all blueprints and technical drawings are completed to proper specifications. Producing rough sketches and using CAD software to prepare detailed drawings, plans and blueprints. As needed, visiting sites to gather information and determine limitations and feasibility of designs. Working with engineers and architects to ensure drawings are compliant with building regulations and engineering principles. Working with construction and project managers to ensure drawings are finalized and correct upon completion of construction and renovations. Scanning and saving drawings and documents to proper locations on system. Mailing and electronically sending of drawings as needed. Assisting with construction purchase orders, contracts and proper paperwork for payment of contractors and vendors, as assigned. Qualifications

Spreadsheet Software Word Processing Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business reports, technical procedures and /or government regulations; write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals; effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the general public. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists; interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form. The minimum requirements for this position are a College or University program certificate; or 3 to 5 years specific experience and/or training related to the essential functions of the job; or equivalent combination of education and experience
