The primary purpose of this position is to support the Plans and Programs Office in the development of strategic and tactical plans for Wing capability requirements and business development. Responsibilities Work includes effective guidance for development of long-range strategic and short-range tactical plans Directly assists the director in the management of all administrative support program functions Serves as the resident subject matter expert for all mandated administrative support programs Maintains viable organizational structure and quality programs to ensure accomplishment of the tasks assigned to by the Director and the Test Wing Commander Participates with key personnel in defining project goals and objectives and in preparing a master plan for accomplishment Participates in planning, developing, and monitoring long-range strategic plans relative to the enhancement of the Gulf Range Complex Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications In order to qualify, you must meet the generalized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions Miscellaneous Administration and Program Series located here GENERALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least one (1) year or will have one year within 120 days of the closing of this announcement, at least three years of progressively responsible general experience, one year of experience which is equivalent to at least a pay band NH-01, (GS-04) level. General experience will provide a basic knowledge of developing capability fact sheets and preparation of business development material, providing administrative support in the development of strategic plans, coordinates and prepares presentations and business material to support the organization. OR EDUCATION: I have successfully completed a full 4-year course of study leading to a bachelor's degree. NOTE: You must submit a copy of your transcripts OR Combination of experience and education that provides me with the knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the duties of a Administrative Support Specialist KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas: Knowledge of Strategic plans formulation and development Knowledge of Business development concepts and its applications within Military organizations Knowledge of various software programs, tools, and techniques to support office operations and produce a variety of documents such as letters, reports, spreadsheets, databases, and graphs Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, to negotiate complex issues, and maintain good working relationships Ability to plan, schedule and execute the development of printed material used for the purpose of keeping customers informed of TW capabilities Skill in gathering, assembling, and analyzing facts, drawing conclusions, conducting analyses, devising recommended solutions, and packaging the entire process in briefings, papers, and reports suitable for senior management use and decision-making Ability to make appropriate decisions and select a course of action in the absence of direct supervisor's access in the project areas assigned This position is subject to Administrative Careers with America (ACWA) Testing.
