Technical Specialist (RMLS):

ATEC is looking for a Technical Specialist to work on the Federal Aviation Administration's (FAA) Remote Monitoring and Logging System (RMLS). The successful candidate will interface with RMLS users and other specialists in hardware, software, logistics, testing, system and database administration for RMLS troubleshooting, field support, and documentation.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Maintaining hardware/software environment and JIRA ticketing software

  • Developing test processes and procedures

  • Produces test and remediation plans and reports and handles implementation of computer hardware and software for operational systems.

  • Provide 2nd level engineering support for RMLS applications.

  • Provide technical assistance and troubleshooting for hardware, software, or other technical issues.

  • Identify and document defects, bugs and inconsistencies, technical assistance, and system maintenance in a ticketing system/database.

  • Interprets and analyzes complex information systems data to develop technical documentation, system diagrams, and presentation materials.

  • Attend system design reviews; technical interchange meetings; any other meetings as requested to support program and team.

  • Create and update related documentation.

  • Ability to create ?How-To? Studio Videos (i.e., Camtasia).

EDUCATION/YEARS of EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • High School Diploma or GED required and six (6) years of related experience.

  • An Associate?s Degree in a related field will be accepted in lieu of two (2) years of experience.

  • A Bachelor?s Degree in a related field will be accepted in lieu of four (4) years of experience.

SECURITY REQUIREMENTS:

  • US Citizenship or documented proof of eligibility to work in the US

  • Applicants selected will be subject to a government investigation

  • Has been living in the US for at least the past 3 years

WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Located at the FAA William J. Hughes Technical Center

  • Full-time position, standard work hours, no specified job duration.

PAY RANGE:

  • $44,000 ? $50,000
