Enterprise Messaging Developer Administrator
ATEC is looking for a Computer Scientist to work with the Federal Aviation Administration's (FAA) Remote Monitoring and Logging System (RMLS) hardware team as an Enterprise Messaging Developer Administrator. The individual should have experience in developing, testing, implementing, and maintaining an enterprise level messaging system architecture.
The person should have experience in Python and strong understanding of programming languages, such as Java, or C++, and experience with database technologies, such as Oracle, MySQL, or PostgreSQL.
The candidate should be able to identify and solve problems quickly and efficiently. They should be able to think outside the box and come up with creative solutions to challenges. The candidate will be working with some guidance from a subject matter expert.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Designing and developing the messaging system architecture
Implementing the messaging system features
Testing and debugging the messaging system
Deploying and maintaining the messaging system
Monitoring the messaging system performance
Familiarity with networking, firewalls, and security protocols
Troubleshooting messaging system issues

Virtual Servers configuration/administration

- Apache ActiveMQ Artemis
EDUCATION/YEARS of EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or Math, or a Bachelor?s degree in another technical field with a minimum of thirty (30) semester hours in a combination of mathematics, statistics, and computer science and seven (7) years of related work experience in a computer science or math field
OR
- Master?s Degree in any field of study with a minimum of thirty (30) semester hours of either undergrad or grad study in a combination of mathematics, statistics, and computer science and five (5) years related work experience in a computer science or math field
SECURITY REQUIREMENTS:
US Citizenship or documented proof of eligibility to work in the US
Applicants selected will be subject to a government investigation
Has been living in the US for at least the past 3 years
WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Located at the FAA William J. Hughes Technical Center
After hours install and support as needed
PAY RANGE:
- $65,000 ? $83,000
