Network Administrator Job #829 Clearance: U.S. Citizenship is required with no dual citizenship. Active Secret clearance is required. What You'll Be Doing: Project Specific Duties Develop plans for ensuring network demands are met prior to any issues occurringDefines, designs, and implements network solutionsApplies advanced network engineering and architecture knowledge on complex and diverse problems where analysis of situation requires in-depth evaluation of various factors.May oversee network systems projects.Designs, installs, supports, and maintains new network hardware and software infrastructure.Provides right-sized network solutions that meet all program and enterprise requirements.Allocates network resources, monitors network performance and usage, and ensures most cost effective and efficient use of network resources.Ensures all IT equipment complies with industry and regulatory standards.Troubleshoots, analyses, and resolves faults in operational networks.Ensures routine preventative maintenance and license compliance is performed.Works closely with the program technical lead to write, validate, and implement accurate technical process documentation that is reviewed and approved by the Enterprise Network standards working group.Provides training and support for installation, deployment and integration team members to ensure hardware configuration and installation procedures and policies are correctly implemented.Required Education, Experience, and Skills: * This contract supports systems that require 24x7x365 uptime. Candidates must be willing and able to meet recall requirements, including participation in a rotational on-call schedule. * Telework: Candidates must reside within a commutable distance and be available to work onsite at the customer's discretion. This includes being on-site during the transition period. Must be based around Annapolis Junction, MD. * Bachelor's degree: Additional experience will be considered in lieu of degree * At least seven (7) years of experience * Experience trouble shooting network components * Implementation of firewall rules * Configuring and updating network equipment * Experience with load balancing * Network capacity analysis, planning and reporting * Strong customer service skills working with a diverse, multi-national customer base, and the ability to simplify and communicate complex technical concepts, both verbally and written. * Highly self-motivated and works effectively within a small team of engineers or independently, with the ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment" * This individual must be able to accommodate a rotational on-call schedule as needed. REMOTE POSITIONS AND POSITIONS LISTED FOR MD, NJ, IL, and CO: Our estimated salary range for this position is $120,000- $160,000, this presented salary range is not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Offered salary is based on experience, geographic location, and possibly contractual requirements as appropriate to the role. *Salary could fall outside of this range.
