A3 Technology, Inc. is seeking a mid-level System Administrator to join our team in Egg Harbor Township, NJ. This position provides expertise in software requirements analysis, design, design reviews, development, software testing, integration, installation and maintenance of complex computer systems.Essential Job Functions:Experience with software programming in the languages used for NAS and NAS support systems, which may include but not limited to languages such as C, C++, Java, XML and SQL.Provide expertise in the development and improvement of software development processes.Must be familiar with interfacing databases to client-side interfaces.Familiarity with object-oriented programming techniques, client/server development, cross-browser development and Unix/Linux skills maybe required.May need to work with specialists from other disciplines such as hardware, software, logistic support and testing to produce fully integrated and responsive components and systems. Interpret and analyze complex information systems data to develop technical documentation, system diagrams and presentation materials.Provide expertise in system administration, managing and maintaining the operating system, configuration of user accounts, network settings and other system parameters.Provide 2nd level engineering support for the Weather Message Switching Center Replacement (WMSCR) system.Support system development, testing, integration and deployment activities for the WMSCR system.Provision, install, configure, monitor and maintain Linux systems hardware and software infrastructure.Perform ongoing performance tuning, hardware and software upgrades and resource optimization as required.Develop and manage Linux shell scripts to support application software testing and administration.Able to debug software issues in Linux environments.Possess a technical understanding of VMWare environments.Attend system design reviews, technical interchange meetings and any other meetings as requested to support program and team.Possess a technical understanding of Service Oriented Architecture (SOA), Java Message Service (JMS), Web Services (NOT Web Page Development) and Simple Object Access Protocol (SOAP) Communication Protocol.Understand IP addressing and configurations for all networks (Mission Support and FNTB), established and available subnet of addresses if available.Able to read, decipher and troubleshoot XML files and WSDLs.Support Web Service testing using SoapUI test program.Participate in system test and key site test activities as a tester.May be tasked to support other systems within AJW-171.Work independently under general guidelines or objectives with minimal supervision.Must be willing to travel. On call 24x7 for site support.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:Required:Strong knowledge and background of Unix/Linux Operating Systems.Knowledge of VMware virtual environment.Knowledge of Linux shell scripting.Solid understanding of IP network technologies and software tools for performance monitoring and troubleshooting.Technical understanding of systems, databases, networking and computing environments.Knowledge of server operations, data communications and systems analysis.Knowledge of networking, cloud computing and enterprise system architecture.Knowledge of network security issues, policies and implementation techniquesPreferred:Unix/Linux Operating Systems Administration.Familiarity of NAS Technical Operations.Familiarity with Oracle.Working knowledge of Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) systems.Working knowledge of Web Service and/or Java Message Service (JMS) systems.Education:Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science or Math or a Bachelor’s degree in another technical field with a minimum of thirty (30) semester hours in a combination of mathematics, statistics, and computer science and twelve (12) years of related work experience in a computer science or math field ORMaster’s Degree in any field of study with a minimum of thirty (30) semester hours of either undergraduate or graduate study in a combination of mathematics, statistics, and computer science and nine (9) years related work experience in a computer science or math field.Additionally, US Citizenship or documented proof of eligibility to work in the US is a must. Upon receiving a conditional offer of employment, candidates will undergo a Government investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for Government clearance. Verification of past employment, education and references is also required.
