HSHS Medical Group is recruiting a BE/ BC orthopedic surgeon to join our established, growing orthopedic practice in Effingham, Illinois. Located only 90 minutes from St. Louis and 3 hours from Chicago, e njoy suburban living with easy access to all of life’s every day needs while also having the big city amenities within driving distance. St. Anthony Memorial Hospital is one of two hospitals in Illinois to have achieved The Joint Commission’s Gold Seal of Approval® for Advanced Total Hip and Knee Replacement Certification .

HSHS Medical Group is a multispecialty medical group made up of over 350 providers across 60 clinics throughout central and southern Illinois inclusive of a robust primary care referral base supporting our orthopedic practices. HSHS Medical Group is an affiliate of Hospital Sisters Health System, which is a Catholic, non-profit integrated healthcare delivery system comprised of 13 hospitals across Illinois and Wisconsin guided by our mission and grounded in modern best practices.

    Position Details:

  • Monday – Friday clinic schedule with option of 4 day work week

  • 7 days per month of call

  • Minimal after hours clinic call

  • EPIC EMR

  • Dedicated RN First Assist who will also be your dedicated RN in clinic

  • Robotics available for surgical cases

    Position Requirements:

  • Unrestricted Illinois license prior to start

  • Board Certified or Board Eligible, American Board of Orthopedic Surgery

  • M.D., D.O., or professional equivalent degree

  • Ability and willingness to do shoulder cases is required

Qualifications

Education

Clinical doctorate is required

Experience

Competence in delivery of healthcare services for adolescents, adults and geriatric patients is required

Certifications, Licenses and RegistrationsLicensed physician in the state of practice is required

Basic Life Support (BLS) is required

Maintain a Controlled Substance license for the state and Federal DEA, when applicable to their specialty

Must have successfully completed, or in the process of completing, an accredited residency program

Must be board certified or board eligible
