The position will expand the capacity and capability of test environments, connective tissue across organizations, and data analysis & visualization tools. Recognized senior test expert for complex, multi-platform, cross-service, multi-domain testing. The work requires synthesizing mathematical and engineering principles, systems thinking, advanced data analytics, and the operational context of the systems under test. The incumbent will be able to tactically develop, articulate, and implement new test concepts to answer complex questions that include materiel from across platforms, services, and domains. Connects developers, testers, and operators from across the services to fill in organizational seams in support of advancing multi-platform, cross-service, multi-domain test capabilities at a tactical level. This work includes exploring new test and evaluation opportunities, harnessing intellectual capital available to the Department of Defense and our Allied Nations, and maintains a transferable contacts list. The incumbent will analyze data from complex tests and present digestible results using advanced data analytics techniques, data visualization tools, and digital reporting applications. Ability to synthesize concepts, principles, and practices across technical and test engineering disciplines at a tactical level. Ability to prototype, code, and collaborate on the development of advanced data analytics and visualization tools. Related curriculum -- Successful completion of a curriculum leading to a bachelor's degree in an appropriate scientific field, e.g., engineering technology, physics, chemistry, architecture, computer science, mathematics, hydrology, or geology, may be accepted in lieu of a bachelor's degree in engineering, provided the applicant has had at least 1 year of professional engineering experience acquired under professional engineering supervision and guidance.
