Are you ready to put your experience to work at Northrop Grumman? If so, Our Defense Systems wants you to join out Team as a Mission Assurance Manager (level 1) for an OCONUS rotational position based in Edwards, CA.

You will define and monitors mission assurance program specifications and processes to ensure mission success of the programs. Assesses program performance and risks, and determines resources to ensure mission assurance.

Duties include:

Responsible for establishing and leading the Mission Assurance (MA) function; a key element of the Global Logistics and Modernization Division (GLM) within the Defense System sector. Lead a high performing team of diverse quality professionals responsible for facilitating a continuous improvement culture focused on increasing process effectiveness and efficiency; and will be responsible for executing, monitoring and reporting on the health of the quality system and the quality of the products and services produced across the site. This includes managing the Quality / Mission Assurance functions across the campus, setting goals of sub organizations (Production & Development Program Quality, Quality Management System Compliance, Metrology/Calibration, Non-Destructive Inspection, and supporting the supplier quality and Environmental Health and Safety Organizations). Plan and execute the MA program using measurable goals and effectiveness criteria in support of the overall business strategy. Solve complex problems through systematic and objective evaluation of information resulting in effective communication, championing, and implementation of change with a diverse set of internal and external customers and suppliers. Interface with Vice-Presidents and senior business unit Mission Assurance, DCMA, Customers and Supplier executives.

Additional responsibilities include (but not limited to):

· Quality - Direct and coordinate all of the site’s quality assurance functional disciplines, including Quality Control, Quality Engineering, Supplier Quality, Quality Programs and Quality Systems per ISO 9001 / AS9100/AS9110/FAA standards and other internal/external compliance standards and regulations.

· Quality Management Representative, responsible for ensuring processes needed for the quality management system is implemented, maintained and improved.

· Resource Management - Plan and manage the department’s manpower, budget and physical assets.

· Personnel Management - Plan and implement professional development and career management programs for site MA personnel while positively influencing employee engagement.

Basic Qualifications:

· A minimum of 12 years of mission assurance experience and a High School diploma or equivalent. A Bachelors degree and eight years of mission assurance experience; Masters degree and six years of relevant experience may also be considered.

· Experience in Quality Management System (QMS) development, implementation, and maintenance to the DCMA Inst. 8210, NAS 412, ISO 9001 and AS9100 standards.

· Experience in the review and extraction of contract requirements for implementation in documented processes and procedure executable by the workforce.

· Experience collaborating with Program Management and other functional entities in the development of performance metrics in the areas of customer satisfaction, product/service performance, process performance and supplier/subcontractor performance.

· Experience in communicating within various levels of the organization including but not limited to developing and delivering Operating Unit, Program and Customer Leadership briefs.

· Experience with facilitating teamwork, along with the ability to work independently, and the ability to develop technical solutions to complex problems.

· Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.) applications.

· Must be willing to work a flexible work schedule that may include extended shifts, holidays, and weekends and support on call status for 24 hours-a-day, 7 days-a-week, 365 days a year.

· A current DoD Secret security clearance.

· Must meet medical requirements and vaccinations for worldwide travel.

· Must have and maintain a valid U.S. passport, accept customer furnished quarters for a period up to 90 days away from primary work location and comply with mobility requirements and meet medical requirements for worldwide travel.

· Ability to obtain and retain Special Program access clearance within 365 days from submission is a condition of employment.

Preferred Qualifications:

· Experience leading and developing a geographically disperse team of quality professions.

· Experience with DCMA Inst. 8210 compliance auditing.

· Experience handling classified information, components, documents and computer systems requiring multiple classification levels.

Salary Range: $115,000 - $172,600

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
