Are you ready to put your experience to work at Northrop Grumman? If so, we want you to join our diverse team as a Logistics Manager 3 based out of Edwards AFB, CA with portions of time at Palmdale, CA.

You will control the efficient flow of goods, services, and information between point of origin through customer placement in order to meet customer requirements.

Your duties include:

Ensures that customer service and time objectives are achieved within existing financial constraints in order to meet marketing and financial objectives. Ensures the execution and continuous improvement of standard logistics processes, such as the replenishment system, data interchange systems, demand management, electronic data systems administration and related functions. Builds relationships with strategic customers through logistics initiatives. Integrates learning from customers, competitors, operating entities, distribution, transportation, customer service, other industries, industry groups, and professional training to continuously improve competitive position. Responsible for the planning and program performance addressing cost, schedule, technical performance, and quality of a work package, subsystem, or related group of work packages, and the direct supervision/management of the staff within the larger organization.

Basic Qualifications:

· A minimum of 14 yrs experience in logistics disciplines such as supply/transportation/warehousing/logistics plans and a High School diploma or equivalent. A Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 10 years logistics/supply/transportation/warehousing/logistics plans may also be considered.

· Complete understanding of TCTO/Service Bulletins, Borrow Payback, Critical Asset Management, and Diminishing Manufacturing Sources and Material Shortages (DMSMS) processes.

· Have and maintain a valid U.S. passport., be willing to visit remote locations, accept customer furnished quarters and comply with mobility requirements.

  • Ability to Travel, which is expected 10% of the time.

· Ability to meet medical requirements for worldwide travel, which includes a physical.

· Willing to work a flexible work schedule that may include extended shifts, holidays, and weekends and support on call status for 24 hours-a-day, 7 days-a-week, 365 days a year.

· A current Secret DoD security clearance and be able to obtain a Top Secret DoD security clearance within 365 days from submission.

· Ability to obtain and retain Special Program access clearance within 365 days from submission is a condition of employment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree.

· Experience in the aerospace or aviation industry.

*Prior command or superintendent-level leadership experience in a Logistics Readiness Squadron, Aerial Port Squadron, or DoD equivalent operational unit.

· Understanding of deployment readiness for personnel and end items to include how to build and maintain war readiness packages.

· Experience managing diverse teams of highly skilled employees highly desired.

· Demonstrated knowledge of configuration management processes.

  • Experience in more than one Logistics discipline.

· Working knowledge of Supply Logistics and MiCAP processes.

Salary Range: $135,800 - $293,600

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
