Job Overview

We are currently looking to add a Journeyperson Electric Motor Systems Technician with Rewind Experience to our Edmonton, AB location.

Reports to: Mechanical Shop Foreman

Shift: Monday to Friday, 8 hours

Location: Edmonton, AB

Relocation: This position does not offer relocation

Wage: $31.99 - $58.16

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose problems in electric motor systems.

  • Dismantle electric motors and other electrical and mechanical equipment for servicing, modification, or repair.

  • Armature winding

  • AC, DC, and Generator winding

  • Troubleshooting and Evaluating equipment

  • Wind and assemble various types of coils for electric motors or transformers and reinstall.

  • Balance armatures or rotors.

  • Weld and braze or solder electrical connections.

  • Align and adjust parts to close tolerances in order to reassemble items.

  • Complete relevant repair paperwork.

Qualifications

  • Journeyperson electric motor systems technician with Armature rewind experience.

  • Experience with electric motor repair, including all aspects of the trade.

  • Good organizational and planning skills.

  • Strong standard for quality and safety.

  • Team oriented approach and thought process.
