We have a job opening and exciting opportunity for a full-time Surgence Business Development Manager in any of our Concordance locations or fully remote. As a Business Development Manager for Surgence, you will generate leads, engage with potential clients, and set appointments for the sales team. You'll play a crucial role in business growth by identifying new sales opportunities and building relationships with prospects.
Essential Functions:
Surgence is a cloud-based ecosystem committed to revolutionizing the healthcare supply chain. The platform serves as a comprehensive solution for providers, distributors and suppliers, ensuring seamless coordination, efficiency and visibility across the supply chain. Surgence integrates flexible connectivity and development, advanced analytics, alerts and workflow capabilities to enable proactive decision-making, risk mitigation and collaborative forecasting to advance the healthcare supply chain. We are seeking a dynamic and experienced leader to lead the Customer Success team and play a pivotal role in the development of our groundbreaking supply chain technology platform.
- Lead Generation: Proactively source, qualify, and manage new business leads using various channels, including cold calling, emails, social media, and networking.
- Appointment Setting: Effectively engage potential clients to schedule appointments for the sales team with qualified leads.
- Product Knowledge: Maintain a deep understanding of the company's products or services to communicate value propositions to prospects accurately.
- CRM Management: Maintain and update the CRM system with detailed information on interactions, follow-ups, and lead status.
- Follow-Up: Consistently follow up with leads to nurture relationships and move them through the sales pipeline.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the sales and marketing teams to strategize, track, and improve lead generation and appointment-setting efforts.
- Achieve Targets: Meet or exceed daily, weekly, and monthly quotas for calls, leads generated, and appointments set.
- Customer Relationship Building: Develop rapport with prospects and nurture relationships that lead to business opportunities.
- Market Research: Conduct research to identify decision-makers and understand market trends to target leads effectively.
- Reporting: Provide regular reports to the sales manager on lead quality, appointment success rates, and other key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Travel required up to 10% of time.

What You Will Need To Be Successful:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
- Healthcare and Supply Chain experience is preferred.
- Proven experience as an Inside Sales Representative, Telemarketer, or Appointment Setter.
- Previous experience in lead generation and appointment setting (B2B/B2C) is a plus.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent phone manners and the ability to engage prospects.
- Ability to build rapport quickly with new contacts.
- Proficient in using CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Goal-oriented and highly motivated with a competitive drive.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Persistent, proactive, and results-driven attitude.
- Adaptable to changes and open to feedback.
- Successfully pass a pre-employment (post offer) background check and drug screening.
