Actalent Lean Coordinator in Edison, New Jersey

My client is a global general contractor looking to add an Lean Coordinator to their team! They are busy on a few pharma sites in New Jersey and expecting more work throughout 2024. This position would require someone with experience managing subcontractor performance utilizing lean construction techniques. Description:

  • Drive the lean initiatives for the facility-main goals are maximizing stakeholder value while minimizing waste — all while heavily emphasizing inter-team collaboration.

  • Attend facilities meetings with contractors and facilities staff to discuss subcontractor commitments and progress referencing lean construction techniques

  • Make sure subcontractor meetings are productive and centered around entire construction process not just their individual trade

  • Gather commitments from subcontractors on daily and weekly tasks they want to get done

  • Track performance of subcontractors based on their commitments in Primavera 6

  • Debrief with subcontractors on daily/weekly performance and work through obstacles they are facing to hit their commitments

  • Analyze data and cross reference with scheduling/project management system to identify deficiencies

Qualifications

  • 4+ years Construction experience

  • Ability to read blue prints

  • Commercial construction background
