My client is a growing commercial electrical contractor that has dominated the New Jersey market for over 30+ years. They actively compete on a variety of projects scaling from $1 million to over $40 million! They pride themselves on longevity and culture with most staff being there for over 10+ years. They are actively looking to bring on a Electrical Estimator to their team. This opportunity offers mentorship, large projects and growth opportunity.

Responsibilities (Include the following. Other duties may be assigned)

• Prepare quantity take-offs of electrical and low voltage systems

• Prepare detailed estimates including assigning material and labor values to take-offs

• Acquire vendor pricing on specialty materials, equipment and systems

• Evaluate and assist with subcontractor and vendor scope and pricing review

• Participate and coordinate in project kick-off and turn-over meetings

• Provide leadership, training and motivation to estimating staff

• Provide accurate monitoring of department employees performance by having higher level of interaction on a day-to-day basis

• Comply with all Company operating policies, procedures, executed plans, and programs

• Be responsible for talking to executive management to have conversations on whether or not to bid on something

• Work with other execs to complete proposals and estimates

• Get quotes for vendors, look at pricing for lighting fixtures

• Communicate with GC's

Additional Qualifications

• Estimating ability in commercial construction

• Ability to manage multiple estimates at one time

• Accubid, Microsoft project, Bluebeam, Excel
