About the job:

As a Talent Acquisition Associate, you will partner with leaders to research, develop, and implement effective recruiting and staffing strategies to attract a diverse pool of qualified and capable talent for the organization. work closely with leaders to be intimately involved the recruiting efforts to fill leadership positions.

This position may also take on HR Generalist responsibilities assisting with employee relations concerns, learning and development and other daily functions of the HR Department as may be needed and/or time permits.

Essentials:

  • Develops, facilitates, and implements all phases of the full recruiting lifecycle.

  • Work closely with leaders to gain a thorough understanding of VOA’s hiring needs, implement tailored approaches for departmental recruiting success and

  • Collaborates with department directors and program managers to identify and draft detailed and accurate job descriptions and hiring criteria to be used in creating attractive and impactful job postings.

  • Identifies and implements efficient and effective recruiting practices and strategies based on the needs of the organization.

  • Stay active with current job boards, social networks, and platforms to find talent.

  • Screens applications for best fit candidates, may conduct screening interviews and selects qualified candidates.

  • Oversee the interview process including scheduling interviews, leading preparation of interview questions and other hiring and selection materials.

  • Assists with the interview process, attending and conducting interviews with managers, directors, and other stakeholders.

  • Collaborates with the hiring manager and/or other human resources staff during the offer process, identifying and recommending salary ranges, incentives, start dates, and other pertinent details.

  • Ensures compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and company policies.

  • Actively seeks out opportunities to develop VOA’s visibility in the marketplace through researching and participating in unique recruiting opportunities and college job fairs.

  • Employee Relations support as needed

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in HR Administration or equivalent experience

  • 3 years experience managing all phases of recruitment and hiring process

Preferred Qualifications:

  • SHRM certification

  • Understanding of the nonprofit industry
