Broadridge Financial Solutions Lead Software Engineer (Hybrid - Flexible Options) in Edgewood, New York

Broadridge is hiring! We currently have an opening for a Lead Full Stack Engineer. We are looking for someone to join a core team with expertise in application development, DevOps, cloud engineering, and more. We need a proficient developer who is passionate about developing high quality software and collaborating with other like-minded team members that rely on your experience and technical background to deliver solutions quickly and effectively.

We are made up of high performing teams that meet in person to learn and collaborate as needed. This role is considered hybrid, which means you'll be assigned to a Broadridge office and will be given flexibility to work remotely.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with product managers, business users, and other members of the team to understand software requirements and author code that satisfies those requirements.

  • Proficient with both front-end and back-end coding languages, development frameworks and third-party libraries.

  • Write clean, well-designed, and efficient code following best practices and industry standards.

  • Excellent communication skills and a desire to collaborate openly within a fast-moving team.

  • Mentor the team

  • Develop and maintain unit tests and automated testing frameworks to ensure the reliability and maintainability of the codebase.

  • Identify and address software performance bottlenecks, ensuring optimal application performance.

  • Ensure proper documentation of the software design, architecture, and development processes.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues that may arise during development and in production environments.

  • Stay current with emerging backend technologies and industry trends and evaluate their applicability to our platform.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, or equivalent education with proven experience as a Full Stack Java Developer or similar role

  • Experience with JAVA and related technologies.

  • Experience with Spring framework

  • Knowledge of frontend technologies like HTML/ CSS, JavaScript, XML, jQuery , Angular a plus.

  • Proven work experience as a lead developer, with a strong track record of successful software development projects.

  • Experience with DevOps tools and platform

  • Knowledge of relational databases (e.g., MS SQL, DB2) and proficiency in writing complex SQL queries.

  • Strong understanding of API security, authentication, and authorization mechanisms.

  • Experience managing a small group of other developers, demonstrating leadership and team management skills

  • Enjoys working in a highly effective, Agile, deadline driven, and fast-paced team environment

  • Demonstrates creative problem solving skills, dedication to excellence, and has an ambitious spirit

  • Experience working in Agile methodologies including SCRUM/Kanban and Jira

  • Knowledge of cloud platforms and microservices architecture is a plus.

    Salary Range: 140,000.00 150,000.00 USD annual
